GRAYLING, MI – Dr. Karen DeYoung, DO, has joined the team at the Mercy Community Health Center in Roscommon to expand access to primary care for the local community. Dr. DeYoung will see patients five days per week in Roscommon.
Dr. DeYoung attended medical school at Michigan State University and completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia. She is a board certified family practice physician with a passion for treating the whole family. "I became a family physician because I love to interact and help treat people at every stage of their lives. I love that I can follow people through their life situations and help them achieve the best health they can through preventative measures and treatment of their current ailments," said Dr. DeYoung.
Originally from Ludington, MI, Dr. DeYoung notes that small towns are her "love" because of her desire to become part of a community. She is looking forward to getting involved and raising her three children in northern Michigan with her husband, also a family practice physician joining the Mercy Physician Network in Grayling later this summer.
"I'm looking forward to meeting new patients, establishing a relationship with them and using open communication to achieve the best results possible," said Dr. DeYoung.
