Munson Hospice and Palliative Care offers grief
support for children, adults, and families. All services are confidential
and free of charge. Staff members are fully qualified, licensed,
registered and certified therapists.
Counseling Services
Counseling is available for youth, ages 3 through 19, who have
experienced the loss of a loved one or an illness that threatens
the life of themselves or a family member. Sessions can be individual
or group, at school or home, day or evening. Parental involvement
is encouraged in both individual and group counseling.
Creative Art Therapy Nature and the arts can play an important role in the healing
process. Creative art therapies are offered through art, music,
drama, writing, and play, and are led by registered art and
music therapists as well as artists trained in grief counseling.
Scheduled Children's Art Therapy Groups are offered as 8-week sessions on Mondays at the Hospice House, 6:15 - 8:15 pm.
Mail Program
Children enrolled in this program receive a letter and an activity
through the mail 10 times during the year.
Family Summer Campand
Gardening Program Each summer, outdoor programs are offered for families and children who are grieving the death of a loved one.
