What do I bring?
Bring a photo ID and a kit if one was supplied to you by your employer.
What will I be asked to do?
You will be brought to a special drug-screening area where you will be asked to show your photo ID, empty your pockets, take off your hat and coat or sweater, and wash your hands.
Will someone be watching me?
Generally you are in a private bathroom with the water turned off.
How much urine do I need to provide?
About 1/2 cup.
What if I can't urinate?
This happens. You will be asked to wait in another room and provided with up to 40 ounces of water.
What if I take medications?
Final results will be sent back to the doctor, known as an MRO or Medical Review Officer. If any drugs show up in your specimen, the doctor will call and talk with you about the findings before talking with your employer.
