Digital Mammography
The POMH Radiology Department uses the same digital mammography equipment available at the Smith Family Breast Health Center in Traverse City. Radiologists at the Breast Health Center interpret patient images taken by Paul Oliver’s equipment. Digital mammography allows for quicker scheduling of call back mammograms. Only 10 percent of hospitals nationwide offer digital mammography.
