The Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a wholly volunteer organization dedicated to promoting and supporting health programs in Benzie County, has planned four major fundraising events for 2011:
Over the past two years, mainly through annual fundraising events and proceeds from the POMH Gift Shop, the Auxiliary has donated over $150,000 to the Hospital's Emergency Room Enhancement Project and towards the purchase of a mobile MRI dock. Since it began, the Auxiliary has donated over one million dollars to Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital.

Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa
The 16th annual Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Golf Benefit will be held Thursday, May 26, at Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa. The four-player scramble will start at 11:30 am. and culminate with an open bar cocktail party and BBQ dinner. Also included are lots of individual and team prizes including an opportunity to win a new car, donated by Watson of Benzonia, on the hole-in-one hole. Tickets are $100 per person and cover greens fees, cart, prizes and dinner. All proceeds go to the benefit of POMH and other local health initiatives.

Start of the Season Cocktail Party and Buffet Dinner

Crystal Downs Country Club
The POMH Auxiliary and the Crystal Downs Country Club Women's Auxiliary are teaming up to present the 2011 annual Start of the Season Cocktail Party and Buffet Dinner to benefit POMH and other local health initiatives. Kick-off the summer by spending a pleasant evening enjoying cocktails, a buffet dinner, and the beautiful views from Crystal Downs. Invitations to this event are sent out in early May. Tickets for this event are $75 per person.
Tour of Interesting Places
Thursday, August 4 from 10 am to 4 pm
Various homes and places around Crystal Lake
This year's 29th Annual Tour of Interesting Places is focusing on homes and other places of interest around Crystal Lake. Tour six unique lakeside homes ranging from the very grand and elegant to a completely charming 800 square foot, 100 year old "original", and don't miss viewing several antique boats on display in Beulah. Tickets for this event will be available in July at various merchants in Benzie County. Advance purchase tickets are $15, $20 on the day of the event. Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Appreciation Day
Saturday, September 24
All proceeds from this event will go towards the POMH Auxiliary’s goal of raising $100,000 for a new dialysis center for the hospital.
Tickets give attendees access to all the fun and activities being held in Frankfort’s Garden Theater:
5:30 – 8:00 p.m. - Wine/beer cash bar, silent auction of services and talents, "Drop in the Bucket" drawing, and a $20 chance for an iPad
8:30 – 9:00 p.m. - Staged POMH Tribute
Show your support and have a lot of fun during this new and unique event. Many businesses will be donating a portion of their proceeds for the day to the hospital as well as sponsoring the various events.
Advance purchase tickets are now on sale for $20 at Crystal Crate and Cargo in Beulah, Victoria’s in Benzonia, Hull’s of Frankfort, the Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, the Frankfort-Elberta Chamber of Commerce, the Benzie County Chamber of Commerce, The Betsie Hosick Health and Fitness Center, and Northern Auto and Tire in Honor. Tickets will also be available at the door for $25.
