It's Not Just Construction,
It's Our Commitment
For the next two years, a major building project
will be taking place at Munson Medical Center that will result
in the opening of a new Emergency Room in 2007. The expanded department
is necessary to alleviate current overcrowding and meet the growing
health care needs of the region.
Many noticeable changes have already been made.
The old Medical Care Facility has been dismantled. The hospital's
ER entrance was closed in early December and relocated to the
hospital's main front entrance which is now open only to
Emergency traffic.
All non-Emergency patients and visitors are entering
the hospital through a temporary walkway that leads from the main
parking lot to the lobby. Patients may be dropped off at the entrance
to the walkway. Munson staff members are providing curbside assistance,
directing and helping patients and visitors as necessary.
